December 2025
TO: NATIONAL COTTON COUNCIL
Officers, Board Members, Delegates, Alternates, Advisors and Guests
SUBJECT: 2026 Annual Meeting
The 2026 Annual Meeting will be held at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, TX. Please review the important information below as you plan your travel and participation. Council events will begin with the Cotton Flow Committee meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10. The convention’s final event, the General Session, begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12. Meeting travel should be arranged in accordance with the Board’s policy for payment of expenses, which can be found on https://www.cotton.org/news/meetings/am/2026/index.cfm.
Policy development at the 2026 Annual Meeting will begin with the meetings of the six program committees on Wednesday morning, February 11, followed by Board review of the program committee recommendations that afternoon and consideration of those recommendations by all delegates during the General Session on Thursday morning. Also included in the General Session will be the 2025 activities report from Council Chairman Patrick Johnson.
Policy recommendations are distributed to Council delegates prior to the Annual Meeting. All changes made in San Antonio by the program committees and Board will be distributed for review during the interest caucus meetings on Wednesday morning. This opportunity to review the program committee recommendations thoroughly is intended to enable the delegate body to consider the resolutions during Thursday’s General Session without a lengthy review process. This approach is not meant to limit debate or discussion; delegates will have full opportunity to raise questions or initiate discussion during Thursday’s session.
Every Council delegate has been asked to serve on one of the six program committees. Because these committees meet on Wednesday morning, delegates and program committee advisors should arrive in San Antonio on Tuesday. The resolution process and conduct of other official business of the Council is structured to promote maximum attendance at Thursday morning’s General Session. Accordingly, all delegates should arrange departures late enough on Thursday to permit attendance and participation during the entire morning program.
We strongly encourage everyone to attend the Retiring Board meeting on Wednesday afternoon to hear special guest speaker, David Wasserman.
You don’t want to miss the CAC Night of Cotton Reception and Dinner Wednesday night beginning at 6:45 p.m. Tickets may be purchased on site or ahead of time.
Business casual attire is appropriate for all meeting events, except the General Session, where business attire is recommended.
I encourage all Annual Meeting attendees to thank our sponsors for their generous support. I look forward to seeing you in San Antonio.
Sincerely,

Gary M. Adams
