Slinsky Joins NCC Economic Services

Dr. Stephen Slinsky has joined the NCC as senior economist in Economic Services.

MEMPHIS – Dr. Stephen Slinsky has joined the National Cotton Council as senior economist in Economic Services. He will conduct economic analysis on a wide array of issues, including policy, production, price analysis and trade.

“We welcome Steve to our staff,” said Dr. Gary Adams, the NCC’s vice president of Economics and Policy Analysis. “His professional experience, coupled with his education, is a perfect fit in Economic Services.”

A native Memphian, Slinsky received his doctorate in agricultural economics from Purdue University. He earned his masters degree in agricultural economics and his undergraduate degree in animal science from the University of Tennessee.

Slinsky joined the Agricultural Policy Analysis Center at the University of Tennessee following completion of his bachelor’s degree and worked there for seven years prior to beginning his doctoral courses.

Slinsky is married and has two sons.
