The Cotton Grower Millennium Grant for the 2002 academic year is now open to any college student (not just juniors) pursuing a career in cotton.

Applications for this $2,500 scholarship may be requested online at the National Cotton Council’s web site, www.cotton.org or by contacting Cotton Grower Magazine (Millennium Grant), 65 Germantown Court, Suite 300, Cordova, TN 38018, ph. The selection criterion are academic achievement, leadership, individual accomplishment and an essay about the applicant’s goals and ambitions. The selection committee includes leading agribusiness company officials and a cotton producer.

Previous grant recipients are Meghan Lynn Hedgepeth, an agriculture business management major at North Carolina State University (2001), and Paige Sullivan, an agricultural economics major at Mississippi State University (2000).
