The Department of Agriculture is making some $185 million in disaster assistance payments to producers who suffered losses in 2019 due to natural disasters and who already have received 2019 Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program Plus (WHIP+) benefits through two previous rounds of reduced program payments.

Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us to talk about how the Council is working with the Farm Service Agency of USDA to explore potential improvements and modifications to the program’s implementation.
