The House convenes on Monday, August 23rd, and upon their return, lawmakers are expected to vote on a bipartisan infrastructure package that has already been approved in the Senate. This package includes funding to strengthen U.S. supply chains, and it includes the Make PPE in America Act (S.1306). The bipartisan bill will strengthen efforts to onshore production of PPE in the United States by requiring federal agencies to issue long-term contracts for American-made PPE. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us with more details on the provision and how it impacts the U.S. cotton industry from producers to textile manufacturers.
