In the latest crop progress report, the Department of Agriculture reported that 64% of the U.S. cotton crop had been planted as of May 30th, which is just one point below the five-year average. Planting progress was at or ahead of schedule in eleven of the fifteen main cotton producing states. Dr. Jody Campiche, Vice President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, joins us with a breakdown of the report by region.
