Cotton producers in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley were hit hard by Hurricane Hanna in late July. Initial assessments by Texas A&M University AgriLife Extension experts estimate 90-100% cotton crop losses for around 138,000 acres. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us to talk about what the Council is doing to push for disaster relief for these producers.
