More details are coming out of Washington regarding the Administration’s budget proposal for fiscal year 2020. The budget proposes significant cuts to a number of safety net programs that cotton producers rely on to help manage their risk. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us to take a closer look at the proposed cuts, and he shares some information on a letter the Council submitted to the House and Senate budget committees’ leadership regarding funding for agricultural programs including the farm bill.
