The EPA recently published a proposal online, jointly developed with the Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency and the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, outlining a quantitative approach to determining a pesticide's potential hazard to bees. The EPA has asked the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide & Rodenticide Act Scientific Advisory Panel to review the proposal in their upcoming September meeting. Don Parker, Manager of Integrated Pest Management at the National Cotton Council, explains how the EPA's recent proposal affects cotton farming.
