In the previously enacted healthcare law, there is a provision that mandates the reporting of 1099s for any trade or business that pays $600 or more to a non-employee for services performed during the calendar year, beginning in 2012.

In the previously enacted healthcare law, there is a provision that mandates the reporting of 1099s for any trade or business that pays $600 or more to a non-employee for services performed during the calendar year, beginning in 2012.  Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the National Cotton Council, says this will be very burdensome to agriculture, requiring a tremendous amount of paperwork for many producers.
