Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday that genetically modified alfalfa can be planted “without conditions.”

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday that genetically modified alfalfa can be planted "without conditions." Bill Norman, Vice President of Technical Services for the National Cotton Council, explained that USDA was making the decision now in order to allow farmers the freedom to plant without further uncertainty.
