A number of national agriculture and livestock groups, including the National Cotton Council, have launched a coalition to facilitate joint efforts to counter several proposed EPA initiatives aimed at reducing nutrient pollution in waterways under the Clean Water Act (CWA).

A number of national agriculture and livestock groups, including the National Cotton Council, have launched a coalition to facilitate joint efforts to counter several proposed EPA initiatives aimed at reducing nutrient pollution in waterways under the Clean Water Act (CWA).  Keith Menchey, manager of science and environmental issues for the Council says the members of The Agriculture Nutrient Council (ANPC) believe the proposals could have an unnecessary negative economic impact on production agriculture.
