In 2006, The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, completed the re-registration eligibility decision under the Food Quality Protection act or FQPA for Furadan.

In 2006, The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, completed the re-registration eligibility decision under the Food Quality Protection act or FQPA for Furadan. The EPA concluded that there were no Furadan uses which met the safety standards and therefore, no carbofuradan uses were eligible for re-registration.  Keith Menchey, Manger of Science and Environmental Issues, says the EPA then published a proposal in 2008 to revoke all carbofuran tolerances.
