As China emerges as the largest cotton market in the world, Cotton Council International is working to advance the COTTON USA brand there. Karin Malmstrom, Director of CCI Hong Kong, describes the promotional programs CCI has recently been developing in China.
Programs such as “Cotton Days” and “Cotton Schools” are working to educate Chinese importers and buyers about the benefits of U.S. cotton. Malmstrom explains the importance of these events, for consumer education and industry success.
A large contingent of Chinese companies will be attending CCI’s Annual Sourcing Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. Malmstrom believes it is imperative to put buyers and sellers together to learn about and accommodate each other’s needs.
