Layton Schniers, cotton producer from Wall, Texas and participant on the Southeast P.I.E. tour shares how the program has a specific goal of helping U.S. cotton producers maximize production efficiency, improve yields and fiber quality by gaining new perspectives on production practices by observing diverse farming operations.

Since the program’s launch in 1989, more than 1,200 U.S. cotton producers have been exposed to innovative production practices in Cotton Belt regions different than their own. The program is sponsored by BASF Agricultural Solutions through a grant to The Cotton Foundation.
