John Gibson, vice president of member services with the National Cotton Council, shares about the importance of the Council’s Policy Education Program and the value it provides cotton producers.
The Policy Education Program provides participants an opportunity to learn more about the Council’s policy development and implementation process, as well as industry issues. The program is supported by FMC through a grant to The Cotton Foundation. To date more than 200 Council producer members have been a part of the experience, with six cotton producers participating this year.
The Policy Education Program is important as it creates a broader network of prospective cotton industry advocates.
