Suggested Introduction 1:

The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol recently announced that the program was accepted as an ISEAL Community Member. This is a recognition by a global membership organization following a rigorous and meticulous approval process that supports credited sustainability systems in their work. This announcement comes only 18 months after the Trust Protocol’s launch.

Dr. Gary Adams, president of the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol explains that this announcement is important for the U.S. cotton industry because it provides brands and retailers guidance on the standards and programs they can rely on to source sustainable cotton.

The program’s mission is to bring quantifiable and verifiable goals and measurement to the key sustainability metrics of U.S. cotton production with a vision where full transparency is a reality and continuous improvement to reduce our environmental footprint is the central goal.
