Suggested Introduction 1:

Dr. Kendall Kirk, Precision Agriculture Engineer, at Clemson University shares details about two new soil fertility calculators or apps, that can help cotton growers maximize their fertilizer application. The NPK Recommendations Calculator and the Fertilizer Blend Calculator are designed to support the needs of growers and use soil type, crop code and soil test levels for phosphorus and potassium to provide recommendations for fertilizer applications. Recommendations can be pushed to the Fertilizer Blend Calculator to calculate application rate after accounting for other inputs and ultimately determining suitable fertilizer blends. To learn more and access the calculators, growers can visit precisionag.sites.clemson.edu/calculators.
