Suggested Introduction 1:

The National Cotton Council has an important message for cotton ginners this season. Despite an extensive communications effort during the 2017 ginning season and again before the 2018 ginning season by the Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service, or AMS, instances of mismatched Permanent Bale Identification, or PBI, tags and sample coupons continue. Lauren Krogman, Assistant Manager of Marketing and Processing Technology for the Council, joins us to explain how ginners can avoid this all together and shares some important reminders from AMS.

Suggested Introduction 2:

Krogman has a few recommendations if you do find a mismatch at your gin.

Suggested Introduction 3:

It’s important to remember that correcting AMS records associated with these mismatches is time consuming and expensive according to Krogman.
