The International Textile Manufacturers Federation or ITMF does a survey every other year on cotton contamination.

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation or ITMF does a survey every other year on cotton contamination.  Manager of Marketing and Processing Technology for the National Cotton Council, Dale Thompson, says in the biannual survey, 110 spinning mills located in 23 countries evaluated 63 different cotton growths.

According to Thompson, the survey indicates the appearance of seed coat fragments in U.S. cotton has significantly declined.
