This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts. All cuts are Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
USDA released their 2009 Prospective Plantings Report this week. Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council says USDA’s projection is showing a 7% decrease in cotton acreage from 2008.
Suggested introduction cut 2:
According to Adams all regions across the cotton belt are showing a decline in acreage.
Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams says the USDA’s report does not show as large of a decline as the National Cotton Council’s Survey performed earlier this year.
