The National Cotton Council is in the early stages of getting ready to send out the Planting Intentions Survey for 2009 and what was planted in 2008 for cotton as well as other crops.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council.

Suggested introduction cut 1:
The National Cotton Council is in the early stages of getting ready to send out the Planting Intentions Survey for 2009 and what was planted in 2008 for cotton as well as other crops.  Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Coucil says this survey is the best indicator of where acreage is going for 2009.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
Adams says that those producers will have until the middle part of January to return that information to the National Cotton Council.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams says producers have options in terms of how they will respond.
