About 85 percent of the cotton acres in Texas are either eradicated or functionally eradicated. Woody Anderson, Chairman of the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation Board says the weevil numbers are less than point 0002 weevils trapped per week.

Anderson says they want to drive the post eradication line down into Mexico, south of the Texas border.
