This week’s Cotton Newsline is 2 cuts. All cuts are Dale Thompson, Manager of Marketing and Processing Technology for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
Since September 11, 2001 there has been an increased awareness of the vulnerability of the food and agriculture sector to acts of terrorism. According to Dale Thompson, Manager of Marketing and Processing Technology for the National Cotton Council, the USDA has developed some voluntary guidelines to help the agricultural producer reduce security risks at the farm.
Suggested introduction cut 2:
Thompson says the main thing is to be aware of your surroundings but links to all the USDA guidelines can be found on the Council’s website at www.cotton.org/tech under safety and security.
