U.S. Senators Jim Talent and Blanche Lincoln announced Tuesday they have introduced legislation to extend the current farm bill scheduled to expire in 2007. Senator Lincoln says they support extending the bill until the World Trade Organization negotiations are complete.

Senator Lincoln says what they intend to do with this legislation - and hope that they will be successful - is extend the current agriculture policy to give farmers more certainty.
