	Washington Update NCC Vice President John Maguire’s Washington update included a review of key legislation and an election outlook.
	Cotton Economic Outlook NCC Vice President Dr. Gary Adams provided an update on the cotton economic situation.
	Farm Bill/Trade Issues Update NCC President/CEO Mark Lange reviewed the U.S. Doha proposal and the linkage between the status of the trade negotiations and consideration of the next farm bill.
	Wal-Mart Sustainability Project Mr. Kim Brandner of Wal-Mart detailed the company's sustainability focus. The efforts include use of renewable energy, eliminating waste, and marketing sustainable products, including textile and apparel products.
	Update on USDA 1614 Payments Report NCC Vice President John Maguire provided an update of USDA's database tracking farm and conservation program benefits. The creation of the database was authorized by Section 1614 of the 2002 farm bill.
	Cotton Crop Insurance Program Dr. Kent Lanclos, chief economist with USDA's Risk Management Agency, provided an overview of the ongoing evaluation of the cotton crop insurance program.
