Late last week, the Department of Agriculture announced its initial round of relief for the United States’ agriculture sector.

Late last week, the Department of Agriculture announced its initial round of relief for the United States’ agriculture sector. Of the $19 billion package, $3 billion will go toward the department’s purchase of food products for donation to food banks and other feeding programs across the country. The remaining $16 billion will be provided through direct payments to producers of a number of crops including cotton. We caught up with Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, to gain some insight on his expectations for the program.
