In its November crop report, USDA estimated a 2019-20 U.S. cotton crop of 20.82 million bales due to a smaller crop in the southwestern United States.

In its November crop report, USDA estimated a 2019-20 U.S. cotton crop of 20.82 million bales due to a smaller crop in the southwestern United States. Upland production was estimated at 20.07 million bales and extra-long staple production was set at 747,000 bales. Dr. Jody Campiche, Vice President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, joins us to take a closer look at the numbers.
