In the latest USDA acreage report, USDA projects a 7% increase in cotton acreage for the 2018-19 crop year. U.S. cotton producers planted 12.6 million acres in 2017, and USDA projects acreage at 13.5 million acres for 2018. Dr. Jody Campiche, Vice President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, joins us with a breakdown of the report by region.
