Last week the Senate Agriculture Committee leadership finally reached a long awaited agreement on a GMO, or genetically modified, labeling bill that will come before the Senate in the near future. Now work is underway to line up the necessary votes to get the measure through the full Senate. The next step will be reaching compromise between the House and Senate versions so this legislation can be enacted into law as soon as possible. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, joins us to explain the three key provisions of the agreement and how they could affect U.S. cotton.
