The National Cotton Council joined a letter with 11 other agricultural and commodity organizations to Senators urging them to co-sponsor S.700, which was introduced by Senators Stabenow of Michigan, Roberts and Moran of Kansas and Klobuchar of Minnesota.

The National Cotton Council joined a letter with 11 other agricultural and commodity organizations to Senators urging them to co-sponsor S.700, which was introduced by Senators Stabenow of Michigan, Roberts and Moran of Kansas and Klobuchar of Minnesota.  Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the Council, says S. 700 would amend the tax code to permanently establish a five-year depreciation schedule for agriculture equipment placed in service after December 31, 2009.
