The Average Crop Revenue Election program or ACRE was introduced as an alternative to the traditional Direct and Counter Cyclical Payment program in the 2008 Farm Bill.

The Average Crop Revenue Election program or ACRE was introduced as an alternative to the traditional Direct and Counter Cyclical Payment program in the 2008 Farm Bill.  Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council says that enrollment for the ACRE program will begin April 27.
