USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service or AMS is proposing to raise the user fee for 2009 crop cotton classification services from $2.00 per bale to $2.20 per bale.

USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service or AMS is proposing to raise the user fee for 2009 crop cotton classification services from $2.00 per bale to $2.20 per bale.  Darryl Earnest, AMS Deputy Administrator says this fee increase is due to the AMS cotton program expecting its second consecutive crop that is extremely small.
