Chairman of the House Agricultural Committee, Collin Peterson, held a press conference on Thursday to talk about the reauthorization of the Farm Bill. According to Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the National Cotton Council, the process of writing the nation’s farm laws will begin next week with a markup of conservation provisions.
Minnich says the chairman hopes to release a working conservation title today which will likely reflect some shifts that some committee members say are necessary given the tight budget they are working with.
