USDA has published the September cotton crop report.Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, says this estimate is a slight increase over the August estimates.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
According to Adams, this crop report was based on conditions prior to hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams says the extent of the damage from hurricane Ike is still unknown.
