This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts. All cuts are Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
Earlier this summer we completed the compliance phase of the WTO Brazil-U.S. Cotton Case. Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council says the panel ruled that the U.S. had not taken full action necessary to meet the original ruling and the next phase is the arbitration phase.
Suggested introduction cut 2:
According to Adams the National Cotton Council continues to be actively involved with the U.S. trade representatives’ office and the representatives from USDA involved in the case.
Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams says we are seeing a much different cotton market than we saw three or four years ago, during this case.
