National Cotton Council signs letter urging congress to promptly consider and pass the free trade agreements recently concluded and signed with Colombia and Peru.

The National Cotton Council joined a coalition of food and agriculture organizations representing the vast majority of US farmers, ranchers, food processors and exporters in signing a letter to Congressional members. According to Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the Council, the letter was urging congress to promptly consider and pass the free trade agreements recently concluded and signed with Colombia and Peru.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

Minnich says virtually all of these products will receive duty free treatment over a specified phase in period.
