Perthshire Farms has spent the past five years testing a new cotton picker from Case IH. Kenneth Hood says their family run operation in Gunnison, Mississippi has seen greater efficiencies using this on-board module builder.

According to Hood the smaller modules have also made hauling to the gin more efficient.

The new cotton pickers will be equipped with yield monitors. Hood says the monitors will make it easier for the operator to gage when he needs to unload more accurately than he could with a conventional picker.
