Case IH has introduced a new machine that can harvest cotton, build a module and unload a module without any other labor involved.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Jesse Orsborn (pronounced: Ors-born) Case IH Platform Manager for Application and Cotton Equipment.

Suggested introduction cut 1:

Case IH has introduced a new machine that can harvest cotton, build a module and unload a module without any other labor involved.  Jesse Orsborn, Platform Manager for Application and Cotton Equipment for Case, says the Module Express Cotton Picker would eliminate module builders at the end of the field, boll buggies that tend the machines and the labor and capital expense associated with that equipment.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

A monitor in the machine tells the operator how full the basket is. Orsborn says this helps the operator know when it’s time to unload the module.

Suggested introduction cut 3:

According to Orsborn, the learning curve for operators using the new machine has been very short.
