This week’s Cotton Newsline is 2 cuts. All cuts are Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
In response to a Freedom of Information Act request, USDA will be releasing information from the Permitted Entity File and from the Section 1614 database. According to Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, the Permitted Entity File is used to administer farm program payment limitations but does not include information on how a parent entity distributes dollars among its members however, the Section 1614 database shows how those payments are distributed.
Suggested introduction cut 2:
Adams says the 1614 Database will include benefits issued from October 2002 through March 2006 for ALL programs administered by USDA totaling eighty-five billion dollars.
