This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts. All cuts are Craig Brown, Vice President of Producer Affairs for the National Cotton Council.

The current EPA registrations for Bollgard and Bollgard II will expire in September of 2006. According to Craig Brown, Vice President of Producer Affairs, says the National Cotton Council’s Environmental Task Force has made two recommendations regarding the re-registration of Bollgard and Bollgard II.
Suggested introduction cut 2:
The second recommendation from the Environmental Task Force deals with the re-registration of Bollgard II. Brown says in addition to the regular re-registration of the two gene product Monsanto is also requesting a change in the refuge requirements.

According to Brown these recommendations are being submitted to EPA in the form of a letter.
