The Pink Bollworm Action Committee has finalized plans for 2006 to initiate Phase two of the program. According to Dr. Frank Carter, Senior Scientist of Pest Management for the National Cotton Council, Phase one included the Trans Pecos-El Paso, New Mexico and Chihuahua.

According to Carter the Pink Bollworm eradication technologies entail the use of first planting B.t. cotton and then the utilization of a pink bollworm Pheromone (fair-a-mone).
