The United States' top trade negotiator is working hard for U.S. agriculture.

Ambassador Allen Johnson, Chief Agricultural Negotiator for the U.S. Trade Representative, visited the Mississippi Delta recently and stressed that negotiations to the recent WTO framework agreement continue in regards to u.s. cotton and agriculture in general.

While visiting cotton producer Kenneth Hood, Ambassador Johnson said he will continue to stand firm in trade negotiations to ensure the agreement will be practical and fair for U.S. agriculture.

Johnson says that by eliminating export subsidies, U.S. agriculture will benefit from greater market access, mostly because of strict controls on European Union subsidies.
