Suggested introduction for cut one:
Registration has begun for the 19th annual Ginners School. Dr. Bill Norman, co-coordinator of the event, and executive vice president of the National Cotton Ginners Association and National Cotton Council vice president, encourages ginners and gin workers to attend the three-day event, which focuses on gin operation, maintenance, safety and first aid.
Suggested introduction for cut two:
Event sponsors expect an average of 100-120 people per class, but each location can accommodate larger crowds.
Suggested introduction for cut three:
Norman attributes success of the Ginners’ School to several factors.
Cost for the three-day Ginners School is $175 per student, or $100 per student for single topic/single day attendance. For more information, please visit the National Cotton Ginners Association web site at www.ncga.cotton.org or contact Bill Norman or Bettye Thorne at (901) 274-9030.
The remainder of Dr. Norman's interview will air on Friday's newsline.
