Decades ago the University of Nebraska started a tractor testing program to rate the horsepower of engines. Dr. Joe Henggeler, Irrigation Specialist for the Univeristy of Missouri is using that same concept to develop a program called armchair pump evaulatuion that will help farmers evaluate the energy use of their irrigation pumps.
