The cotton industry has been concerned about stickiness in cotton for a long time. But it hasn’t been a problem recently due to the effective production practices used today. Paul Funk, An Agricultural Engineer at the Southwest Ginning Laboratory, is currently testing a new product which metabolizes insect sugars. Funk says they want to make sure it does not adversely affect the fiber quality.
