This report is an update of progress on the development of a new lint cleaner for cotton gins. This new design implements current technology from a textile lint cleaning concept while targeting cotton ginning rates and conditions. With recent trends toward less aggressive methods of trash removal during the ginning process, lint cleaning treatments are under review from all sectors of the cotton industry. A new Dual Roller Lint Cleaner appears to offer high cleaning efficiencies while offering minimal fiber damage.
