Effect of Temik and Prep on Cotton Boll Development and Fiber Properties

George W. Cathey, William R. Meredith, Jr., and William P. Scott

ABSTRACT

Field studies were conducted in 1987, 1988, and 1989 to determine the effect of Temik and Prep on cotton yield and earliness. In addition, boll samples were collected at weekly intervals to measure the effect of these chemicals on boll development and fiber properties. However, fiber analysis was not made in 1987 and the 1989 results have not been obtained yet, so this report on fiber quality is for the 1988 year only.
