Vydate^® is a carbamate insecticide that exhibits excellent control of boll weevils, Anthonomus grandis Boh., at rates of 0.125 - 0.25 lb. i/A equivalent to that of the currently used standard insecticides. Studies have shown that Vydate^® is also very effective against Tarnished Plant bugs and the Cotton Fleahopper. Since Vydate^® has minimal effect on beneficial insects in cotton, it should fit well into as integrated pest system and also a resistance management approach.
