The picking units lubrication system, Introduced by Deere on the new 9950 Four-Row Cotton Picker, provides improved lubrication of the entire picking unit components, makes servicing of the picker much easier, increases picker productivity, and reduces the time to lubricate the picking mechanism by as much as ninety percent. The former labor Intensive job of lubricating the picking units (including 96 picker bars and the upper housing gear train) of the four-row cotton picker 15 now reduced three minutes by the operator from inside the operators station.
